Max Sauze Alpha Wall or Desk Lamp
This is the Alpha wall or table lamp designed by Max Sauze for the Max Sauze Studio in France in the late 1970s. The lamp features a wired nickeled metal frame with many aluminum bent sheets which results in an amazing light effect.
Max Sauze was experimenting with the creation of aluminium sheet lighting since the early 1960s. He exploited the many possibilities of braiding this material to create indirect lighting. This turned out to be quite similar to the designs of Poul Henningson, who is known for his lamp designs that only show diffuse light.
This lamp is in great condition.
