Design M Uten Silo II by Dorothee Maurer-Becker (Black)

The Uten Silo 2 designed by Dorothee Maurer-Becker, wife of Ingo Maurer. This is a very early edition from the late 1960s, produced by Design M in West-Germany. This is the Uten Silo 2 which is the smaller version from the Uten Silo 1. It's made from plastic, and the hooks are made of metal. This the black edition.

Dorothee Maurer-Becker was born in Germany in 1938. She studied languages in Frankfurt and Munich. After spending some time in London and Paris, she moved to California in 1960. She returned to Germany in 1963, together with her husband Ingo Maurer. Three years later they founded Design M, a design and manufacturing company, in Munich.

This Uten Silo is still in great condition for such an early edition. It's marked with a Design M sticker as well as the text at the bottom which is in the plastic.
