Kartell KD28 Pre-Production Desk Lamp by Joe Colombo (Black)
Before the KD28 lamp designed by Joe Colombo went into production there were a few samples made by hand. This super rare example is one of these handmade samples. They were hand carved from a special piece of Ebanil plastic. It was sanded down into it's iconic shape. The shade and lighting fixture is also different from the version that went into mass production. The bulb needs to be placed in the bottom of the shade instead of the side of the base. It's in great condition, only a hairline crack in the top shade.
