Artek 404 Hallway Chair by Alvar Aalto (Grey)
Artek 404 hallway chair designed by Alvar Aalto in 1932. This is an early example of this chair from the 1940s and came from a set of four chairs bought by the first owners in 1940s. This chair is model 54/404 which means it features a padded upholstered seat and backrest. This model is also the extra comfortable version with springs in the seat. The frame of the chair is made from birch wood and it features his iconic finger joints. The chair has been reupholstered back in the 1990s with a grey soft fabric which is still in great condition as can be seen in the pictures.
